Breakfast with the Mommies

Its funny how life changes and how we adopt that change and move on in life with new things and new priorities surrounding us. No matter how much w miss our old lives we start to love our new routine and adopt to it so nicely hat it doesn’t seem like a problem.

I am talking about the single verses married versus parenthood. how we once thought when single that this is the best life ever and how we will miss it, eventually after we get married we start to like the status better and we move on as a couple. people say once u have kids your life changes and yes that’s so much true but once again slowly we adopt to that new life style and fall in love with our lil one, the whole meaning of love changes, our priorities changes even our thinking change to some extend. What once was OK for us doesn’t work any more. we make new relations and new friends
i have been lucky in term friends. All my single-hood  friends or my gang are friends with each other, got married and stayed friends and now they have kids and we are all still friends. but in addition to that i’ve made new friends with my daughters class mates moms. 😀
Its great getting to know the moms and being friends with them. Even tough the school started just about 3 weeks back but a few of us really hit it off and today we made a plan for breakfast so that we can gather and get to know each other. It was truly amazing and the food was good too.

Sushi Treat

Hello all
Just thot to post sumthing since it seems like ages

Today (10th July 2013) me n hubby made a random plan for sushi
Since I cannot have raw meat right now I ordered for cucumber sushi, while hubby ordered for cucumber sushi, tuna sushi n volcano sushi for trial dat was made of salmon, eel sauce n mayo topped wid crushed shrimp crackers.
Cucumber n tuna sushi came first in the platter but we were too hungry to wait for a pic of platter so I just took pics of wat all I cud hehe

Didnt take any pic of tuna sushi but I just had to take the pic of the volcano sushi wen it arrived….. it was hugeeeee

Since there was mayo in it as well it turned out pretty heavy. Outta 8 pieces Hubby could only finish 5

But I wanted to eat more n only Cucumber sushi wasn’t enough for my hungry belly I ended up ordering Chicken Taypanyaki wid garlic rice
Oooo wat a bliss I ate like I had been hungry for ages lol

Stuffed and satisfied wid out food, we headed to the ground floor after paying the bill only to b called back from half way for our complimentary fried ice cream dat was ready on our table. I dunno why we got a complimentary ice cream but who cares
It was pretty good, only if we had more space in our sinfully stuffed tummies, we wud have finished it all, but couldn’t lol

Over all, it was a good outing n we really enjoyed ourselves. 😀

Food in a week

Food can b so amazing, no matter wat we r busy into, we always find out time to eat from simple to the most exotic food….but wen u dont have much options u gotta make the best of wat u have 🙂 I had sum yummies this last week First a healthy yummy breakfast…..

I know alot of ppl will says dats not healthy its a fried egg n buttered bread. But I feel that for an average person its good enough. But yes for someone who is trying to diet this may be a little toooo healthy hehe Then I had my fav cup of tea

Two teabags of lipton makes me a perfect strong tea to kickstart the day One of the evenings I went to dads for a night stay n we went out n gobbled on icecream

Scoop of chocolate & coffee, topped wid hard dark chocolate sauce n soft chocolate sauce & a little sprinkle of chocolate sprinkles, nuts n cookie 😀 *Slurp* Later for dinner I made hotdogs for me n dad

I started with cutting out the buns, I had cut a cheese slice in 3, n used 2 pieces of cheese in each hotdog. A little spread of mayo, just a thin line from one end to another of the bun. I tried to steam boil the sausage so it remain soft n juicy, only boiling makes it a lil dry I feel. Sooo I placed freshly steam boiled sausage in each hotdog over the cheese, helps it melt fast…. Then a fine line of ketchup and a zigzag of mustard (makes my hotdogs luk prettyyyyyy) oooh I also had a few frozen fries that I fried to go with the hotdogs…… Was fun! Another morning I was out for some work and grabbed a sandwich from Dunkins for hubby n myself

Wat else is better to celebrate a beautiful day wid Dunkins egg n cheese sandwich… I loveeeeee them but only once or twice a year… Too much will eventually make me luk like a donut :p We finally have some winters, I was enjoying an evening wid my mom in law…. The best drink I could find my self to enjoy the evening with was

Warm ovaltine wid a lil sprinkle of cocoa just to look good 😀 Wow my post makes me look like such a fatty lol. I just like to enjoy good flavors but offcourse in a limited quantity… I hate depriving my self and I feel we shouldn’t. If I feel like eating sumthing I will, in a quantity that wont harm much followed with extra 20 mins of walk:)

All I would say is that one should eat n stay healthy, dont deprive ur self but yes dont go over board as well:)

Omg, I cant believe how lazy I have become even wen I think to myself n promise that I will post regularly….. Guess this is one complain I have been sharing for so long now, I really hope I can write more…..:( For now am sharing a pic of these amazing stone chocolates that I bought from a mall the other day to test n they actually tastes gooood…..

DIRECTIONS!!! READ THIS!!!! Cut oranges in 1/2 and hollow out (don’t want any pulp left at all. Get it all the way to the white-ish part)
Set hollowed orange halves, open side up, in something secure so they don’t move around when the jello is in them (I used muffin pans; easy transportation, great to keep them where you want ’em =D)
Prepare jello with 1/3 less water needed for recipe. Pour into orange halves
Set in fridge and chill completely
Take out of fridge, flip over onto cutting board (open side down so it’s flat on the surface). Cut into slices, either halves again (1/4 of the whole) or into 3 slices. Make sure to use a really good serrated knife, and don’t be really forceful with them, it’s jello after all! =)
And voila! You have jello orange slices!

Option: I haven’t done this personally, but I plan on trying this at some point…. Jello SHOT Slices! =D Oh yea, what a party that would be! But I don’t recommend having both at a gathering where there will be kids… imagine the mix ups that could happen! =O
